COMTECH A52 reported regards to the case analysis of different organization in determining whether or not the used or technologies succeed or failed. Roughly there were 10 groups who reported about their organization and the use of technology.
Based from my observation most of the reports concluded that the use of technology in the organization succeeded. Although three groups concluded in there case analysis the failure of implementation of technology in the organization. The Youth Group Organization emphasized the failure of web site because the information and data are not updated regularly due to lack of technician. The main reason is because the members are all youths have certain responsibilities in school and other activities wherein they neglect updating their own web site for their organization.
In determining the success of failure in the implementation of technology all of the groups interviewed their source in knowing the objective of the use of technology and whether or not the objective has been met. Some groups made surveys to find out the results on the impact on the members of the organization in the usage of the technology. For the group who studied on the LAMB or the Lasallian Ambassador Organization they randomly selected 30 respondents in the organization to find out their views and opinions on the use of GSM Texting. In result of their survey a big percentage of the respondents prefers text messaging rather than other means of communication. On the other hand the groups who studied on Press Week at DLSU and POLISCY Organization compared the work efficiency and communication respectively in determining the success and failure of the organization by looking into the past and present results. An example is with the Press Week at DLSU, before deadlines are not met during the submission of articles and documents. With the use of E-mail all requirement are given on time compared to the previous years when they have not implemented the use of E-mail. For them it is more convenient, fast and flexible. In conclusion to their case analysis the use of E-mail was a success because of the comparison of time when the E-mail has not been implemented.
In only proves that technology is a means to our society. It makes life easier for man and most especially work is more productive because of the less time used. One must take in consideration that technology is constantly changing and therefore we must adapt to change. An organization must look into their objectives before implementing the technology because most often than not the utilization of technology may not be applicable for the organization to meet its goals.
